English Camp 2024 -- Europe

イングリッシュ キャンプ 2024 のテーマはヨーロッパでした。毎年のイングリッシュ キャンプと同様に、3 日間英語のみのレッスンとアクティビティが行われ、最後にパフォーマンスで盛り上がります。イングリッシュ キャンプには多くの目標があります。まず、生徒たちが 1 つのトピック、この場合はヨーロッパのいくつかの小国についてより深く学ぶことができます。現在ヨーロッパでオリンピックが開催されているため、この驚くほど多様性に富んだ大陸についてより深く知るのに役立っています。次に、生徒たちは学年や英語力に関係なく協力し合い、その過程で仲間との関係を構築します。さらに、3 日間すべて英語で聞き、コミュニケーションをとります。難しいこともありますが、生徒たちは、挑戦することで最も効果的な学習ができることを理解しました。

The theme for English Camp 2024 was Europe. As with English Camps every year, it is three days of English only lessons and activities, with a culminating performance at the end. There are numerous goals for English Camp. First, the students can learn about one topic more deeply, in this case some of the smaller countries of Europe. With the Olympics currently being hosted in Europe, this has helped them become more aware of the incredibly diverse continent. Second, the students work together regardless of their year level or English ability and in the process build their relationships with their peers. In addition, the entire three days are listening and communicating in English. There are times when it is difficult, but the students understood the most effective learning happens when you try.

最後のEnglish Camp だったから楽しくすることを意識した。　とても楽しかった。

今回はギリシャについて調べました。音楽や伝統などを学びました。他の班のプレゼンでは異なる国の挨拶や食べ物について学ぶことができました。また、他学年とのコミュニケーションも取ることができました。

I learned a lot of other languages and cultures. I also recognized a lot of differences from Japan. I want to go to Europe some day!!!!!

英語の楽しさや、いろんな国のゲームなどいろいろな経験を学べました。プレゼンはあまり自信はないけれどよかったと思います。

次からは、会話も英語でできるように、勉強したいです。

I learned a lot about other countries culture and i enjoyed playing Mölkky with everyone even though it was hot outside. I want to make more spaghetti Eiffel Towers. Thank you Mr. Howes and Mark and other teachers!!!!!!!

先生が英語しか喋らなくてなんかいつもとは、違う雰囲気が面白かった。

最後のイングリッシュキャンプはとても楽しめたり、１年生との交流が行えてとても良かった。英語でやるプレゼンテーションのおかげで少し英語力があがったように感じた。３日間は、長いようで短く感じる楽しいイングリッシュキャンプでした。

今回は、自分にとって2回目のEnglish Campでした。前回は1年生だったので先輩方についていっただけだったのですが、今回は、2年生ということで1年生をひっぱていくことを必要とされました。なのでその役割を果たせるように自分なりに頑張りました。また、初めてベルギーのことを学んで、ベルギーはベルギーの良さがあるのだなと改めて感じることができました。良い学習になりました。来年も頑張りたいと思います。

It was my first and last English camp. I am very sad that I couldn't join last year's English camp. For the presentation, I couldn't have done enough. I want to try again. I was happy that I could help the younger members in our group. At first, I thought it was going to be a very long 3 days, but it was so fast and fun. Thank you Mr. Howes and Mark for preparing this amazing camp. I really enjoyed it! If I have a chance, I want to do it again.

これからが大事なので、英語が少しでもできるようになるといいなと思いました。

私は、今回のEnglish Camp でヨーロッパで使われている言語、食べ物、歴史、遊びなどを詳しく知ることができました。ヨーロッパの遊びでは、実際に遊ぶことができました。また、チームの皆んなともコミュニケーションを沢山とることができて良かったです。プレゼンテーションのために、沢山のことを調べて、まとめて、スライドを作ったり大変なこともありましたが、いろいろな事を経験できました。

It was great to interact with people from other grades and bring together cultures and languages from different countries. I especially enjoyed making the Eiffel Tower with marshmallows and pasta. Thank you again Mr Howes and Mark for thinking of and making us enjoy ourselves.

やってる途中はだるいけど、終わるとなんだかんだ達成感感じて楽しかったと思えます！来年も楽しみにしてます！ありがとうございました！！！！！！！
